8 sessions
Each session will focus on one popular children's book. First, students will learn the necessary vocabulary to understand the story before hearing it read to them. Then, instructors will bring the story to life with engaging props and visuals. Finally, students will complete various activities related to the book, such as crafts and games, while remaining in the target language.

Theater & Film Classes for K-12th grade

Join us as we engage hearts and minds in the imaginative world of theatre, writing, and film. Students are encouraged to utilize this time for self expression, socialization, and mental health. We will be teaching the basics of acting, character development and analysis, screenplay writing, filmmaking, and more!

Age Group: 3 to 4 years (accompanied by an adult)
Course Description: Students will engage in creative play and storytelling through the use of improvisations and theater games; a great way to get the wiggles out!

Course Description: Students will build upon their ability to improv with storytelling. They will be encouraged to observe the world around them to create pretend scenarios mirroring their environment.

ZANNI
Age Group: 5 to 8 years
Course Description: Students will engage in working collaboratively while developing storytelling skills such as learning to embody a character’s traits and represent a character’s emotions through improvisation. They will be introduced to journaling as a mode of self-exploration. They will learn to understand the basic structure of a story while exploring character and dialogue as they develop vocal and physical skills, culminating in a performance.

IL CAPITANO
Age Group: 9 to 12 years
Course Description: Within the context of improvisation, theater games, journaling, scene studies, and playwriting, students will work on developing a self-identity with which they feel comfortable. They will learn how to apply theater techniques to create believable characters and be introduced to the structure of a well-developed plot. Students will acquire observational and analytical skills while being introduced to character analysis. Through an introduction to playwriting, they will share their theater journey, leading up to a performance. Students will also learn the basics of filmmaking.

CUCURUCU I
Age Group: 11 to 13 years
Course Description: This beginner-advanced class builds on the foundations of basic theatre knowledge. Students will use improvisations, scene studies, and journaling to explore a character’s wants, needs, and objectives while applying their skills and knowledge in progressively complex work. As an ultimate goal, they will team up with their classmates to write a play, culminating in a performance! (Prep for auditions/ portfolios is also availible)
